Leuven Encounters in Systematic Theology VIII - newsletter 6

Table of contents

Registration Reminder!

Just a few reminders to everyone as LEST VIII is due to begin in just over a week!  If you haven’t yet taken a minute to fill out the registration form online, then please do so as soon as possible.  As you can imagine, we’re in the last stages of making nametags, compiling conference folders, getting our ‘final’ numbers together and a host of other assorted tasks … we’d therefore greatly appreciate your registering sooner rather than later (this week if possible).

If you have not yet signed up for the conference dinner to be held on Saturday, there is plenty of room available for what promises to be an exceptional meal as well as a great, one-time opportunity to socialize with other theologians from around the world!

Please remember that we will not be accepting cash or credit card payments at the registration office for the conference.  All payments should be made online before you arrive at the conference.

All registration and payment information can be found online here.

Schedule Updates

Newly updated schedules have also been posted online for your convenience.  You may note that specific rooms have now been assigned for the paper sessions.  The general and specific programs can be found here.  If you should have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask!

If you are presenting a paper at LEST VIII, we once again remind you to be conscious of the 20 minute time limit (15-20 minute for Junior presentations) for each participant.

PowerPoint and Audio-Visual (A/V) Needs

If you are presenting a paper at LEST VIII and plan on using PowerPoint during your presentation, please let us know as soon as possible, as well as any other assistance you might need in this regard.  If you would like for us to provide you with a computer to use for your presentation, please feel free to send us your PowerPoint slideshow and we’ll have it prepared and ready to run for you (if you so desire).

Museum M Flemish Manuscripts Exhibit

The recently renovated Leuven city museum known enigmatically (or cleverly) only as ‘M’, and which has a fantastic collection of medieval, modern and contemporary artwork, will be hosting an exhibit possibly of interest to some of you while you are here in Leuven for the conference.  The exhibit, Divine Sounds: Seven Centuries of Gregorian Chant Manuscripts in Flanders, will be available for your viewing each day of the week except Wednesday.  See their website for more information on the exhibit, opening hours and ticket prices.
