Bijbelwetenschap Dode-Zeerollen
De studie van de Dode-Zeerollen is in een stroomversnelling gekomen nadat vanaf begin jaren 1990 al de rollen en fragmenten zijn uitgegeven. Leuven kent pas zo’n tien jaar een traditie van onderzoek van de rollen, eerst met een project naar de relatie tussen de rollen en het Nieuwe Testament, en nu met een project dat de onderlinge relatie tussen de rollen in kaart wil brengen. Doordat Leuvense onderzoekers een belangrijke rol spelen in de uitgave van series en tijdschriften, is Leuven één van onderzoekscentra van de Dode-Zeerollen geworden.
