Environment

The Centre for Liberation Theologies devotes special attention to environmental issues, as these are intimately linked to issues of justice and of liberation. Environmental degradation affects particularly the most poor in our world. Moreover, environmental policies, when misused, can become instruments for new forms of oppression in our global world: powerful and rich areas on the globe impose new burdens on poor areas, limiting their development for reasons of environmental sustainability.
