CENTRE FOR WOMEN’S STUDIES THEOLOGY
TENTH ANNIVERSARY

On February 23 and 24, 2006 the Centre for Women’s Studies Theology and the FWO- research project “Mary Magdalene and the Touching of Jesus” (FWO) shall organize celebrations to mark the tenth anniversary of the Centre for Women’s Studies Theology.

On Thursday, February 23, 2006, there is a seminar by Sr. Dr. Sandra M. Schneiders I.H.M. on “Religious Life in the New Millennium”. In part one, there is an introduction by Sandra Schneiders about her book “Selling All: Commitment, Consecrated Celibacy and Community in Catholic Religious Life”. In part two, there is discussion of the book.
The seminar takes place at Promotion Room, University Hall, Naamsestraat 22, 3-5 pm.
Simultaneous Dutch translation will be provided.

The seminar will be followed by the opening of the Exhibition “Noli me tangere: Mary Magdalene, One Person, Many Images”. The exhibition takes place at 5:30 pm at the Promotion Room, University Hall, Naamsestraat 22. Afterwards, a reception will be held at the Maurits Sabbe Library, C. de Bériotstraat 26.

On Friday, February 24, 2006, there is an academic session to mark the tenth anniversary of the Centre with a keynote address by Prof. Dr. Sandra M. Schneiders entitled: “Touching the Risen Jesus: Mary Magdalene and Thomas the Twin in John 20”.

The academic session takes place in the Promotion Room, University Hall, Naamsestraat 22, 10-12 am. A reception will follow at the Jubilee Room, University Hall, Naamsestraat 22.
