International students' association S.A.In.T.S.

The S.A.In.T.S. (Students’ Association of the International Theology Section) exist since November 2004. It is the mission of this students’ association to foster unity and fellowship among the international theology students in Leuven through celebrating and appreciating their cultural and religious diversity. They believe that by entering into contact, conversation and social activities with one another and with the larger community in Leuven, they can add meaning, purpose and enrichment to their own lives and that of others.

A core team of at least 4 students is elected in April and takes care of the following activities during one year. At the end of each academic year an End of the Year Party is organized. At the start of the next academic year the core team prepares orientation activities for new students. Some weeks later an election of student representatives for the Teaching Committee and the Faculty Council is organised. During the teaching weeks students are invited to meet each other each Friday afternoon around a cup of coffee or chai. In the second semester an international talent show is organised. Together with the Flemish student organisation Katechetika the S.A.In.T.S. also cooperate in organising the Christmas party and the buffet on the occasion of the dies facultatis, the feast of Saint Thomas.

All international students of the Faculty of Theology are members of Saints. Flemish students and students from other faculties can also join Saints by sending an e-mail to S.A.In.T.S. Members must be a student of KU Leuven. There is a S.A.I.N.T.S. community on Toledo.
